Dušan Týnek came to the U.S. from his native Czechoslovakia in 1992 and through the influence of his great mentor and friend, Aileen Passloff, was lured into the world of dance at Bard College. He has danced most recently with Catey Ott, Richard Daniels, Pat Catterson, Dance Works Rotterdam (NL), Lucinda Childs Dance Company, Douglas Dunn and Dancers, Lise Brenner, Joel Sherry, Ben Munisteri, the Merce Cunningham Repertory Group, and Sari Nordman among others. He has taught in New York and Prague and has presented his own work in New York City and the Netherlands.

Alexandra Sloan Meunier Berger graduated in May, 2003, from the New School University with a BFA in Dance. She has had the opportunity to work with many gifted teachers, most notably David Howard, Marjorie Mussman, Joao Carvalho, and the faculty at the Mark Morris Dance Center. Ms. Berger has worked in a wide range of repertory, performing feature roles in work by choreographers such as Peter Pucci, Gerald Arpino, and Mark Morris. She has had the privilege of working with Dušan Týnek Dance Theatre since its 2003 inception, and currently acts as well as Development Associate for the company. Alexandra also dances with Ian Spencer Bell Dance Circle and Adrienne Celeste Fadjo/ACFDance.
Nicholas Duran began dancing at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in California and received his BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Duran is working with Brian Brooks Moving Company and Fionna Marcotty‘s Beat Upon Beat. His dance credits also include Nixon in China (Opera Theatre of St. Louis), Haroun and the Sea of Stories (New York City Opera), Alcina (NYCO), performances with Johannes Wieland, Kun Yang Lin and Dancers, the Los Angeles based company TONGUE, and an artist residency at The Yard on Martha’s Vineyard. His choreography has been produced in Fresh Tracks at Dance Theatre Workshop and in DanceNow/The Festival at Joyce SoHo.
Matthew Dailey is a graduate of the three-year classical acting conservatory at George Brown Theatre School and holds his BFA in Dance (with honors) from Ryerson University – both in his home town of Toronto. Professional work includes producing and choreographing for the Toronto and San Francisco Fringe Festivals and dancing in ongoing film and theatre projects with Toronto choreographers Darryl Tracy, Jenn Goodwin and Meagan O’Shea. In New York, Matthew also dances for Palissimo Dance Theatre and joined Dušan Týnek Dance Dance Theatre in 2005.
Laurel Lynch began her dance training at the age of three in Petaluma, California. She moved to New York after high school to attend the Juilliard School where she performed works of Robert Battle, Charlotte Griffin, Ohad Naharin, Margie Gillis and many of her classmates. Since graduation, Laurel has perormed for Sue Bernhard, Stephan Koplowitz, Jay Brenneman and Elisabeth Motley with whom she danced at the Festival Oltre Passo in Lecce, Italy. Laurel joined Dušan Týnek Dance Theatre in 2005.
Eden Mazer was born in Gloucester, MA, and studied dance at St. Paul’s School and Barnard College. She has performed with Jonathon Appels, Sue Hogan, Spela Sterle, bopi’s black sheep/dances by Kraig Patterson, and Gina Gibney. She was also active with Gibney’s Women at Work Domestic Violence Project. Eden’s own choreography has been shown at St. Mark’s Church, Joyce SoHo, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, Windhover Center for the Performing Arts, and Cleveland State University. She teaches creative movement at Manhattan Country School.
After studying in Chicago and Washington D.C., Vincent McCloskey was granted the Special Fellowship Award to study at Alvin Ailey American Dance Center in New York City. He later pursued classical ballet training at the Joffrey Ballet School. Upon completion he danced professionally with Festival Ballet Rhode Island, Renvall Dance Company, Hellenic Ballet Theatre and Joffrey Ensemble. He has danced at major venues in Chicago, Washington D.C., Providence, Boston, Kanagawa, Japan and New York City. He hopes to pursue work in sign language interpretation when he is finished with his dance career.
Elisa Osborne is from Venezuela and has danced with the Mark Morris Dance Group, Connecticut Ballet, New Jersey Ballet, Lexington Ballet, Ian Spencer Bell Dance Circle and others. Elisa attended La Escuela de Ballet Teresa Carreno in Caracas, Venezuela prior to training at the North Carolina School of the Arts where she received her High School Diploma and B.F.A. Elisa has danced with Dusan Tynek Dance Theatre since its inception in 2003.
Matthew Westerby is originally from the UK and trained at the Laban Centre, London. He was a member of Laban's graduate performance group (2001), Transitions Dance Company, working with Jan de Schenkyl, Charles Linehan and Carlota Portella. In London, he worked with Celia Grannum, NMO Dance Company, Influx and Smallpetitklein, where he also worked as company education director. He has choreographed his own modern dance work for the Place Theatre and Laban, as well as several musical theatre and commercial ventures. Matthew has taught for the Laban Centre, the Scottish School of Contemporary Dance and for Random Dance Company. Since relocating to New York City, Matthew has danced for Petra Martin, Jana Hicks and Covenant Dance Theater, and is also dancing for Risa Jaroslow and Dancers.
